That car was rated at something like 1300 kg (2860 lbs) towing capacity in europe as long as the trailer has brakes, so that trailer is just within the capacity IF it's empty and IF it has trailer brakes and IF it has the right hitch, which is NOT a North American style class 1 hitch .
You can tow almost anything if you go slow enough. The question now becomes how much risk you want to take with yourself, your loved ones and the general public around you. here
I wouldn't exceed the hard limits for the hitch, tongue weight, combined GVWR and I would have trailer brakes if towing heavy. Be safe, not sorry! [links]
Owners manual says 1000lbs, but I see up to 3000lbs in European manual - is this accurate?
Dry weight 2570 lbs. Only 570 over the hitch limit and that is empty. Add another 880 lbs loaded and you are only 1450 lbs over limit. That is for the smallest one. here

Maybe that is all the weight that the car/ little trailer can hold? I dunno. Because I have a couple trucks I don't use the car for stuff like that. The trailer I have (can see in pic hooked to my other truck) weighs close to 3000lbs empty. I don't think the car could tow that.

Nah, I was just saying I would have stacked it like I have in the back of the truck so more could have fit in it. That is just a cord in the truck. I hauled another load with 1.5 cords which was one more row and all the rows where 1-1.5ft taller.
One person may get away with 2,000 or 3,000 lb and the next person might not make it 10 miles.
Also where you’re towing and how far is a factor, mountans or flat land, across town slowly or hours on the highway at speed.
If I go with aluminum (which will cost me a lot) I'll likely be somewhere in the 2100-2200 lb range. If I go with a steel trailer it will be about 2500-2700 lbs.
The challenge came when I decided to acquire a small diesel tractor. The lightest tractors with the features I needed (3 point hitch and a loader) weight around 1300-1400 pounds stripped of implements. Mt first 4 by 8 trailer, a "Carry On" from Tractor Supply, proved rather flimsy so I bought a beefier 4 by 8 rated for 2000 pounds gross weight. It's a simple frame, suspension, axle, wheels, and lights with no floor and sells for around $400-450 at midwest farm stores like Fleet Farm and Farm and Fleet. Even after I added a 3/4" thick plywood floor it barely weights 300 pounds. Dealer delivered the tractor for me so I haven't actually had to haul it anywhere, but I did a test load and tow and it worked fine- It's right on the TDI's 750 kilo limit for unbraked trailers and well within the hitches 200 pound tongue weight/2000 pound total weight limit.
