The problem I have is the wiring. The motor is from 2002 Rover 25 and has five wires connected to it. I have looked up the Rover wiring diagram and I think identified them as Earth, 12v power, slow speed, fast speed and one other (maybe park?) here
I am, slowly, repairing/restoring a 1965 Bedford Dormobile. I am taking to opportunity to upgrade the electrics. more
If connected to the battery with earth to negative and slow or fast to positive I get slow or fast speed. But I can't work how to get it to park. With the earth connected and 12v power connected nothing happens. I touched the 5th wire to positive and nothing happened. here
On the Rover wiring diagram the fast, slow and 5th wires are connect to a switch/control unit and I can't work out what it does!
I now have a problem that I sure the expertise here can solve! more
Wipers have helped in many ways especially when rainy conditions kick in when water drops fall on the window shield. Seeing the wiper blades swipe the window seems simple like simple mechanism but you’d be surprised on how it functions explicitly. These smooth motions or only made possible from the key mover in windshield wiper and these are the wiper motors.
Wiper motors are devices in the wiper system that functions on a power supply in order to move the wiper blades in a smooth motion. Like other motors, the wiper motor rotates continuously in one direction which is converted into a back and forth motion. Its composition entails a lot of mechanical linkages each playing a role in initiating the movement. The gearhead motor is the type of wiper motor known for its abundance in torque.
Not all broken wiper motors require a full replacement. New motors can be costly, and if you are on a budget then it is certainly worth the effort of repair or at least a good diagnosis. [links]
