The Formosa Yankee Clipper Ketch is a well respected design from the board of William Garden. Mr. Garden has designed some of the very best offshore cruising boats that were ever built. Fast, seaworthy, comfortable and strong – the Formosa 41 is a solid all ocean design. This particular example has had many upgrades, which combined with a long history of excellent maintenance and timely repairs has kept this boat in like new or even better than new condition. Previous owners fit custom Isomat rigs to the boat, added a head-stay furler along with stack-pak with lazy jack sail controls to the main and mizzen sails and a hard top bimini with complete cockpit enclosure. The enthusiasm of the current owner has sent him deep into the bilges of this boat to address the hardest to reach and only remaining issues – new engine beds and shaft tube were installed, the deep wiring and plumbing were sorted out, all the chain-plates were replaced recently, a new hull paint job recently, and so much other work has addressed every possible aspect of this ships systems. .
