The engine was hitting on the starboard side clamp bracket as you lowered the engine probably a bit over an 1/8 of an inch it seemed like. here

So with the engine home, we're now trying to figure out why the engine didn't want to go fully down into the locked position. more

Right now the engine is off the boat due to the impeller losing 5 of it's 6 blades and was getting very warm and barely shooting out water. more

I'm hoping either someone recalls seeing this issue in the past or would be kind enough to have a look through the Yamaha outboard service literature and see if there might be a written recommendation someplace out there.
