Here is my 1980 16' fishing boat with 1980 Shorelander trailer. Comes with 2004 Johnson 8 hp twin cylinder motor. It is a four stroke, I recently paid the local boat shop $180 to make sure the motor is tip-top. He rebuilt the carb and some other things. It ran fine when I bought it but it had been sitting a couple years so I wanted to make sure it wouldn't leave me stranded. The trailer has heavy duty plastic fenders in good shape, new LED lights, new tires and it pulls very nice down the road. It has nice sized tires not those tiny tires you see on some trailers. I've had it up to 80 mph on the interstate, no problem. Almost zero rust on the trailer. Boat floats just fine, new bimini top, live well pump works. The wiring was corroded when I bought it so I just stripped back the wires and take my jump box with me and just clip onto the pump wires. No trolling motor or electronics. The rear transom is a bit shaky where the motor hangs on, I don't go down the highway with the motor hanging on back there just to be safe. It seems to do fine in the water. You may want to put on a new piece of wood or additional bracing around the motor. Its not fancy but it will get you out on the water for little $. I have found it is simply more fun to go fishing in my kayak. Plus its just easier, no towing, licensing, or fuel. I only used this boat a half dozen times last year so I need to clear up some space in my garage. The boat and trailer titles are in my name. The motor title is signed over to me but still in the last guys name. When I went to get everything licensed at the BMV the lady told me nothing was needed for the motor so to save $ she said not to even bother sending it off. West Marine (Zodiac) 8' 4" inflatable boat and Johnson Outboard Motor (5HP) set. Details: Zodiac 8 foot 4 inch inflatable boat (1999) with removable hard floor (several sections,) with Johnson 5 HP outboard motor (1998) model J5REE S/N 15008328, Mfg, Waukegan, Illinois, U.S.A. Used for 4 summer seasons in Connecticut waters as a boat tender/dinghy in fresh, brackish, salt water. Purchased the boat new July 1999 @ West Marine, Clinton, Connecticut and purchased the outboard motor new at Atlantic Outboards, Westbrook, Connecticut. Inflatable boat may have an extremely slow leak in one of the air chambers. Takes a week or so to notice. A quick pump up tops off the air pressure easily. Would like to sell as a bundle but would consider splitting the inflatable boat and motor as separate sales. Package price: $950.00 (boat and motor together with all accessories.) Shifted through Reverse to Neutral and Forward and prop engaged A-okay. Motor still runs great.

RPM Information: 5500
Your engine's RPM range is important in choosing the right propeller for a given application. For example, if you look at your tachometer at top speed and it is not within the engine's RPM range then that is generally not good. You want your RPM's to be within the proper range while at wide open throttle (WOT). Be sure to do your testing under your normal boating conditions and with a good propeller (not bent, cracked, or excessively chipped).
