Complete electric start kit for Johnson/Evinrude 9.9/15hp outboards from 1977-1992. The kit includes everything to convert to electric start including flywheel, starter mount bracket, starter, all wiring, stator, rectifier, junction block, neutral safety switch, starter switch, and battery cables. The kit can be configured to work on earlier 1974-1976 models if you add a CD Box and exhaust cover which I can provide for a small extra cost. Winning bidder needs to notify me with the model year to insure the correct parts and instructions are provided. This kit will make your fishing and boating trip much more pleasurable, especially if you have a bad shoulder or back. You won't be disapointed.

Smart will show this Fortwo design study at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. Called – futuristically enough – the Smart Forvision concept car, it's a good stab at what 2014's new Fortwo could look like. It's brimming with the sort of tech designed to keep the Fortwo's eco credentials alive and kicking. here

It should not be a surprise, as General Motors scrambles to cut costs and cars sit unsold on dealers' lots, that the automaker is cutting high-performance versions of several vehicles for the 2010 model year. According to information from online ordering guides made available to GM dealers, the 2009 model year is the last for the Chevrolet Impala SS, the Pontiac G6 GXP and the Cadillac STS-V. Also, the SS trim in the Chevy Cobalt lineup will be limited to the coupe body style. more

I don't know if "Western Taxachusetts" has Autozone stores but they'll loan you one for the day for free. You just have to give them 20 bucks that they give back to you when you return the tool.

Thanks for the reply Jeep Man. But if the parts prices I'm finding on-line are anywhere near accurate I should be able to get it done for under $200.00. And around here a 20 HP Merc is worth a lot more than that. Also, I'm finding that some of the same parts are used on the 15, 20 and 25 HP engines as well, and for multiple years too. Just wish I didn't have to pop for a flywheel puller just for this one-time use.

It can be done, the biggest problem is cost. The changeover is close to what the motor is worth. Your two choices is to sell your motor and buy another that is electric start, or. Buy a blown motor that requires a new power head or bottom end, salvage the parts you need and transfer them to your motor. [links]

Wondering if anyone know of a reason why this wouldn't work or what kind of glitches I might run across. Don't know yet what kind of flywheel puller I'll need either.. here
