We gave $16,500 in March of 2003 and it was flawless with bimini, cover, carpet, fire extinguisher and a full tank of gas. well i guess I got a free coke and a small bag of popcorn too but that was after i signed the papers, lol. No matter what you end up paying you will love it! here

Alright, welcome to the Yamaha boating world. This site will be of great help and amusement as you peruse the topics. I suggest that for today, right now, you go out and tie your two clean out plugs together with a four foot piece of dock line. Do this and you won't ever lose a plug if for some chance it does blow.

We have a 2001 LS2000 and love it! I have seen them go for as little as $9,500 and as much as $14,500 within the past 6 months. I think it's worth somewhere in between so $12,500 would be acceptable in my book however that would be in flawless condition. I would probably expect some sort of compensation for the tear at that price, maybe some gear like life jackets etc. Does it come with a bimini w/boot, carpet and a cover? Any other options included? You might see if you can do a compression test on it first. [links]

This is really long. sorry, but it's the only way I can describe the 2-stroke oddities that are part of how these boats work. Settle down with a cup of coffee and bear with me. more

If you back down the RPMs to 5000, it will start to run rough or just keep dropping the RPMs until it comes off the pipe (the exhaust sound changes drastically and suddenly). It will probably not run at 4500 RPM at all. It'll always try to slow down or speed up the RPMs in that middle range. This is normal for these boats. Don't run at that "middle range" that it doesn't like. [links]

@HELP probably a good idea to get more folks attention on this one and get you some well rounded advice. Normally one would say pull the plugs, blow the water out, and run hard to evaporate any remaining water. If you ran it with water in the cylinders, I would think it wouldn't have started. did it take time to start?
