I am wondering what the towing capacity is? I've done some searches online but I'm a bit confused - I see anywhere from 1,000 max to 3,500 max. more
I am not sure where to post this exactly - so I hope this category is okay. I have an 06 vue, automatic 4-cylinder and I'm planning on moving out to Colorado from Florida.
The 4 cylinder VUE is rated at 1500 lbs. And that includes any weight above and beyond an empty vehicle with a driver. more
I was hauling about 3,300 lbs- 14' car hauler loaded with crap I was taking to the dump. The weight is accurate because they had me drive on a scale when i got there. Anyways, the electric brakes on the trailer weren't working, and I was surprised how well the stock brakes stopped the now much heavier
VUE. Acceleration was also great, along with cruising at highway speeds + 70 mph. I'm was very pleased to say the least. [links]
I also know what some of you are thinking- Impossible- you should have been using a 2 5/16" ball for the car hauler, but we changed the reciever on the trailer to receive a 2" ball- allowing my VUE to pull it.
