There are balls in the cockpit drains that act as check valves for water in that model. Sometimes they can get "sticky" or need replacing. Tom posted something on this here:
I had a 186CC with a Suzuki DF140 weighing 420lbs. With a full live well and people sitting in the jump seats, I would have a slow flow of water into the cockpit. Normally, the cockpit stayed dry.
I know that this is a pretty old topic, but would love some advice from the 2004-2008 186 DC owners out there.
