2005 Stratos 486 SF,If you are looking for the perfect Fish and Ski, then youre look is over. My wife and I bought this Stratos 2005 486SF brand new in 2007 for my in-laws who were, at that time 76 and 77 years old. Although they loved the boat, it became progressively more difficult (and dangerous) for my aging father-n-law to launch the boat so its use became less and less frequent. As it sits today, it has less than 50 hours on its Johnson 150.We replaced this boat for my in-laws a month ago with a fishing tri-toon that is kept in a slip on Lake Barkley, KY so all they have to do is step on and go. Now we have this absolutely beautiful Stratos 486SF with exceptionally low hours and meticulously maintained boat that needs to find a new home. To trailer this boat to our home in SC, we put on brand new trailer tires as well as had the boat serviced from stem to stern just because we felt it was the right thing to do. We will be glad to provide the invoice from this recent service as well as the contact information from the service center that performed the service.We also put in 2 new trolling motor batteries for the 24 Volt, 80# MinnKota trolling motor. It comes with a Lowrance HDS-5 at the helm and is wired for a bow fish finder if you desire. Additionally, the boat comes with an extra fishing seat so the family wont be inconvenienced if you decide to cast a line out after tubing. You will also get the custom Stratos cover you see in the pictures as well as an additional cover (my father-n-law felt if one cover was good, then using 2 would be even better!)The seats are in perfect condition as is the Bimini and quite frankly, if we didnt tell you the age, you would be hard pressed to tell it didnt just come off the showroom floor.This boat has only been on fresh water (Lake Barkley, KY) or on its trailer.Lastly, we priced this boat to sell as we simply do not need it for the water and we dont want it as a lawn ornament. This is a very clean, low hours, versatile boat equipped with a Yamaha 150 motor and a 5-blade stainless steel prop. I bought this mainly for fishing but have also used it for skiing. It pops 2 skiers up quickly and is very stable on the water. There are no tears or stains anywhere in the interior. As shown it has a full instrument panel and every gauge works perfectly. There is ample storage along with a built-in cooler and live wells. There is a cd player in the passenger side dash that has a slide up cover to protect it from water damage. The boat also has an easy to open bimini top for protection from the sun while on the water. There is also a drop-down ladder for easy re-entry into the boat. The trolling motor is a very strong 24-volt system that will move you easily even in stronger currents. I have all the manuals for the boat and accessories including the fish finder.The boat has always been stored under a carport with the included canvas cover to further protect it from the elements. It has never been damaged in any way.This boat is 100 composite construction which means there is no wood anywhere within the structure. This means you will never have to worry about having to replace rotted wood. After having many boats before this feature was available, I can say this is a huge benefit. The trailer is factory Stratos and has every option that was available at the time. There are plenty of steps around the trailer and it is trimmed in aluminum treadplate. Of course the trailer matches the boat and has been with it since new. One neat feature of this trailer is the swing away tongue. By unlatching it, you can gain about 15 of clearance making it easier to store in most garages. The tires have almost zero wear and the spare has never been on the ground.This is probably one of the very nicest 2007 Stratos 486sfs on the market. As the pictures show, it is super clean. The batteries are probably due for replacement. The last time I had it out, the cranking battery was very strong but 1 of the trolling motor batteries seemed to have difficulty charging. I might be willing to discount the total price slightly if new batteries are desired by the buyer.The boat is in Wichita Falls, TX.
