Discover what’s available for a new year and a new season of boating and fishing.
The idea that there is any boat out there that is better than all the rest is simply a myth. There is simply no such thing as the best fishing boat, best family boat, best center console, or best bay boat.
What does exist, however, is a “best boat” for you – for your fishing needs, your cruising needs, your comfort, and your budget. In fact, somewhere among the 60-plus boat manufacturers featured in our 2020 Boat Buyer’s Guide, you’ll probably find more than one “best boat” that can provide many seasons of enjoyment on the water.

Any question worth asking is worth asking with the condition "setting safety aside." So, setting safety aside, how many people could Times Square hold on New Year's Eve, if we really wanted to pack people in?
The city of New York estimates that some 2 million people will show up in Times Square to see the crystal-encrusted ball drop over the final 60 seconds of 2016. That's a lot of people, particularly given that the city is conscientious about maintaining clear lines of passage for emergencies and given that some part of the space is set aside for various news networks to host New Year's Eve programs of varying quality. (The hierarchy of gig quality for a pop band is sports arena in a big city -> sports arena in a small city -> big music festival -> small music festival -> NBC's New Year's Eve show -> NBC's pre-taped New Year's Eve show -> county fairs.)
But if we limit the discussion to the delineation above -- people watching the ball drop in Times Square -- there is basically no way that 2 million will crowd in to do so. The maximum, instead, is closer to 120,000, if we don't worry about any of those people needing to actually move. here
So here’s the palm trick you could try every time to check if you’re machine is overloaded: Just place your hand into the drum—it’s easy as that. If your hand fits between your clothes and the wall of the drum, then you have the perfect load size. If not, it’s best to take something out. If you find you’ve got even more space in there, you can add more clothes to save more water. [links]
You have a medium or regular load if the drum is around half full, for a large load you’ll have to fill it until three-quarters full, and if you have even more laundry to do, fill it up until you can fit your palm between the wall of the drum and your clothes.
Medium/regular load: This works out to a load of approximately 6 pounds. here
Use the following key for this equation:
Washing machines come in different sizes and capacities, so there’s no standard washing machine size that would tell you the size of your drum. If you’d like to know, however, and you’ve lost the manual for your machine, here’s a simple formula for you to calculate the tub capacity of a washer:
Is there a standard washing machine size? What’s your washing machine’s capacity? How much is an average load of laundry? Questions you have probably asked yourself before, so at Tide, we’ve decided to get to the bottom of it. Read on to find out about how different types of washers are different in capacity, how you can calculate your load size, and how to load a washing machine.
