She is fitted with a 16 HP Yanmar diesel engine. The boat's fresh water tank holds 33 U.S Gallons and the fuel tank holds 18 gallons of fuel. This Capri is in excellent condition for its age. A few small chips on the cockpit floor are the only visible fiberglass flaws. The interior cushions show normal wear. Sails are in good shape, according to the owner. Some running rigging may need replacement soon. Bimini fabric is like new, as it is stored under a zippered cover. Powered by a 15hp Johnson outboard. The owner has a detailed logbook and a file of maintenance records that will be supplied to the buyer during the inspection period. The bottom is scrubbed frequently. Overall a very clean and nice boat. Stock #241563 Excellent condition, very sturdy boat. New Awlgrip on deck, spacious cabin, sails like a dream. 15hp 4-stroke Johnson outboard w/electric start. This is a solid, almost unbreakable, Catalina Capri 26. Designed by Frank Butler and Gerry Douglas, she was built in the Capri's inaugural year. She has been well kept by her present owner, who enjoyed years of family sailing in Biscayne Bay off Miami. With a wide beam, the Capri is spacious inside and also handles well. She heels just gently at speeds of 5-6 knots. The original mainsail has been recently refurbished, and a smaller working main is now installed. A 125% Genoa makes for excellent downwind sailing. The long aft cockpit can seat 4-5 comfortably on each side and can be shaded by a large Bimini. There is a swim platform and ladder easily accessible through a transom opening. Accommodations below deck are original and comfortable. The queen berth under the cockpit is accessed from the starboard. An enclosed head is to port just forward of the companionway. At starboard is a compact but efficient galley with a stove, sink, and roomy icebox. A dinette table (not pictured, in storage) mounts on the mast step and lowers to form a very large berth. The boat has a brand new compass, GPD driven speed gauge, a Garmin Chartplotter, and a depth sounder/fishfinder as well as a portable submersible VHF radio. It has new Awlgrip on the deck and bottom paint from December 2018. Reason for selling is not using.
