I used it to glue carpet to a sub box, this thing is so strong when i was trying to remove the glue stuck to my arm hair it ripped off a small patch :D its way stronger than the orange can adhesive of adhesive I got from autzone, and ita not too runny since it dries pretty quick. Hope this helped

No matter what style of boat carpet you choose we use the same high quality marine grade rubber backing and UV/mildew resistant synthetic fibers, the difference is in the density and cut of the fibers. [links]
This style carpeting is a must on boats that get a lot of foot traffic, specifically fishing boats and bass boats. Lighter weight carpet will mat down quickly but our 20oz carpet will perform well and stay comfortable. If you are concerned about tight fitting lids or hatches you can trip down the sides of your hatches with a sheer (beard trimmer). This is a trick that will allow you to install this high quality boat carpet on an older boat.
Take care to notice the direction of the nap of the carpet so that it is all installed in the right direction. I drew arrows on the carpet backing so that I wouldn't make any mistakes.
Use an indoor/outdoor carpet glue for the large areas and use Liquid Nails only for where the carpet folds over an edge or other small areas where a quick hold is necessary. The carpet glue is not very sticky and takes time to dry. Liquid Nails is a lot tackier and will hold better around creases and folds and dries quicker than the carpet adhesive. Using Liquid Nails only is not advisable, it dries to an almost concrete consistency and makes it nearly impossible to remove the carpet for any future reasons.
Have plenty of weights and clamps on hand to secure carpet until dry. here
Make SURE you buy a lot of blades for your utility knife. Make only two or three cuts with each side of the blade and change the blade frequently. This and patience is the key to a nice job. more
