This Chevy race engine is designed for circle track use in the IMCA Sport Mod and Hobby Stock classes. It features a strong four-bolt main block and iron Vortec cylinder heads. A unique dual-pattern camshaft helps deliver more than 300 lb.-ft. of torque between 2,000 and 5,500 rpm ? peaking at 396 lb.-ft. at 3,800 rpm. With that much pulling power, you can hold a gear longer, keeping the engine in its sweet spot for quicker laps. [links]

The CT350 by Chevrolet Performance is the powerful, durable and affordable IMCA legal engine that budget-conscious racers can depend on for race-winning performance and low maintenance!
GM assembles the CT350 Sealed 602 with an 8-quart circle track racing oil pan, balancer, HEI distributor and an aluminum high-rise, dual-intake manifold. Add your carburetor, starter, spark plugs, wires and water pump as well as GM’s anti-tamper bolts to seal it up. IMCA seals added at our location to legalize it for IMCA Crate classes.
We can rework your ‘602 heads or, you can buy a NEW set of complete heads and just bolt them on the motor!

One other option we have for a 602 is this…we can take a brand new engine, and get you a 35 horsepower gain with a dyno session for $2,900. This is a very stealthy operation and would only expect this to pass tech with flying colors. We have new 602 engines in stock to do this too. We also provide a before and after dyno sheet so you can see the results.
We have many levels to choose from and we will provide a few examples below. The biggest downfall to the crate engine is when it’s wore out you have to buy a new one. So, all the money you spend toward a new engine just gets you what you had before, and more than likely, what you had before is why you’re getting beat week after week at your local track. Our goal is to freshen your worn-out engine, enhance it from 20-80 horsepower, and it cost approximately the same as the "new" replacement engine.
MRE added "enhancing" to the 604 crate engine for IMCA racers in 2017. We did not realize how big of a deal this was going to be at the time. When adding this new product, we were getting more calls asking if we do the 602 as well. So over the course of the racing season, we have developed a 602 program for IMCA racers. Our goal for either engine was to take a racer’s current used up crate engine, freshen it, then enhance it to whatever level the racers budget or local tracks' tech would allow them to do. [links]
