Have you checked your stringers and Transom to ensure they have not begun to rot? If so, what was your method? If NOT, WHY NOT! If they are Wet they will NOT dry out, but only continue to rot and in 2 or three years your boat will be UNSAFE to operate and UNSELLABLE! Since you have the deck out, you should consider CHECKING EVERYTHING and then doing it RIGHT. BUT that is just MY OPINION more

My technique so far has been:
Remove all seats, consoles and fixed items from your old floor. Disconnect any wiring or connections prior to removing them from the boat. more
Measure the new pieces of plywood, using old flooring pieces as templates if possible. Soak the measured pieces in epoxy to seal water out. When the epoxy has dried, screw the new flooring pieces in place. Be sure to note the location of screw holes and mark them on the flooring pieces prior to reconstructing the floor. Drill new screw holes prior to laying the flooring down. here
Remove your boat's old flooring. Try and keep as much of the old flooring intact as you can use it as a template to measure your new flooring pieces as well as a guide to line up screw holes for reassembling your deck. Leave a three-inch trim of old flooring around the edge of your boat. This will ensure you do not puncture the side of your boat while removing the old flooring, but more importantly, it will serve as a sturdy support for the new floor since it is molded into the framework of the boat. Over time, boat floors begin to show wear and tear from repeated exposure to the elements, specifically water. The need for a new boat floor becomes inevitable when the floor has a soft, spongy feel that is a sure sign of dry rot. However, the need for replacing a boat floor does not mean the end of your boating days. You can replace your floor in a short amount of time and with minimal labor. Your boat will have a sturdier feel to it, and you'll be back out on the water in no time.
If we don't have the template you need, you can simply send us your self-made template and we will custom cut your carpets for you in your choice of carpet style and color. If you use your old carpets to make a template make sure to cut it out and lay your template back in the boat and make sure all the studs for snaps are covered by the template. Carpet is usually stretched out onto the snaps and when the carpet comes off the snaps carpet can shrink up to an inch or more. If we make your carpet using your template and the new material does not fit your new material is NOT returnable or refundable as your template was what we used to cut your new carpet.
If the template we have listed is not your exact year or does not have a product picture it is YOUR responsibility to contact us to get dimensions to check against your studs in your boat. Boats and boat options are different for different years.
Volvo makes a great product, but finding a servicing dealer can be spotty.
Steer clear of anything OMC - reliability isn't bad, but getting parts is challanging (this will also solve your ford issue). Mercruiser product is generally pretty good, you'll be running an Alpha drive - lots of those around, and parts are easy to come by. do not buy the 3.7L mercruiser in any form (165, 170, 185 or 190hp) parts are scarce and they are loud engines. i wouldn't buy anything with a 4 cyl if you are planning on doing any tubing or skiing, you will need the torque of a 6 cylinder to make that enjoyable.
