I have been designing and making bespoke wedding dresses for more than 20 years in London. Paying careful attention to the form, fabric and cut my bespoke wedding dresses are playful, elegant and full of personality. Having studied textiles and embroidery at degree level at Goldsmiths, I have gathered an encyclopedic knowledge and passion for sourcing interesting, specialist fabrics and embellishments.

Bespoke & Co. is a custom tailored clothing company, based in Tampa, Florida. We produce fine custom clothing for men and women and focus on maintaining the highest standards of the custom made tradition. The word bespoke itself is derived from the verb bespeak, meaning to "speak for something," or to “be spoken for.” Bespoke clothing is traditionally cut from a pattern specifically crafted for an individual client, and so differs from ready-to-wear, which is factory made in finished condition of standardized sizes, and from made-to-measure, produced to order from a pre-cut pattern. It is a misconception that bespoke clothing is more expensive than the alternatives. With the technological advancements in manufacturing and the progressions made in the production of materials, today's bespoke pricing closely compares to upper moderate and high end off-the-rack clothing. The evolution of bespoke clothing took off around the post-depression 1930’s when Hollywood popularized bespoke fashion with stars like Fred Astaire, Gary Cooper, Cary Grant and Clark Gable featuring tailored clothing styles popular from that era. Savile Row bespoke tailoring became world renowned with pioneers like Anderson and Sheppard, Gieves & Hawkes, and master tailor Frederick Scholte who popularized the ‘London Cut’ worn by Prince Edward VIII and the Duke of Kent. Styles continued to evolve in the post-war 1940’s as couture French designers like Christian Dior came on the scene. Today, the various styles made popular by these fashion icons have paved the way to offer the knowledge to create a sophisticated, diverse, custom wardrobe.

Joseph Cheaney’s history is particularly interesting as it reflects the many changes experienced by the English shoe-making industry. Established in 1886, Cheaney originally produced private label shoes for renowned retailers around the world. Only by the mid-20th Century did it begin producing shoes under its own name. more
A particularly interesting service that they offer consists of handmade shoes crafted from recycled leather sofas, which customers can supply themselves. It’s an excellent way to give that old leather couch a new life!
The Last Shoemaker is a joint venture between Scotsman Allan Donnelly and US-born Yorkshireman Payson Muller. Together, they developed an innovative minimalist luxury concept, which they refer to as the “barefoot shoe”.
Bespoke production begins with Payson who takes the measurements and makes the wooden lasts by hand himself. These are then sent to Allan who creates the uppers in his workshop before returning the shoes to Payson where he hand-sews the soles before being fitted with the customer.
After over a year of lockdowns, restrictions, and working from home many have found a new appreciation for dressing well. [links]

New Bond Street’s tailor was the first bespoke tailor in the world to offer payment with Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. Tatyana & the team have created suits for Mads Mikkelsen Carlsberg 2018 & 2019 campaigns.
