For those of you visiting Croatia for 7 days, the final day will probably be taken up with getting to the airport. However, if you’re spending longer in the country, I wanted to continue this post with a few ideas to create a 10-day Croatia itinerary. [links]

On day 4 of your Croatia itinerary I’d recommend opting for a boat trip to visit the pretty islands in the Adriatic. They’re all quite different from one another, so have a read about Hvar, Vis, Solta, Korcula and Brac before you go. Korcula is a personal favourite of mine. I also love the mix of things to do in Hvar (and Hvar Town has a great party scene too!) here

And for a berth reservation, we suggest ACI Marina Split which accepts online bookings in real-time, without being necessary to wait for their answer.

Equally well-furnished, these marinas located in Brač will warmly welcome you after you’ve completed the first day of your sailing holiday from Split.

A popular sailing destination in the Adriatic, this marina is located in a safe bay on St. Clement Island, one of the islets of the Paklinski Otoci archipelago. It is a vast port that can accommodate up to 200 vessels, but make sure you check their availability beforehand.

From Vis, continue southwards to a relatively untraveled island in Croatia: Lastovo. From Vis, it is 35 nautical miles to Lastovo. You can either spend the evening in the Bay of Zaklopatica or you can opt for the Bay of Skrivena Luka, where you will find a small private marina. In the Bay of Zaklopatica you can moor in front of one of three restaurants and enjoy a meal of fresh seafood, grilled meats or other traditional island dishes. more

It’s a short sail to your next destination, Stari Grad, which is on the same island. You only have to travel 15 nautical miles, so you can completely relax this section of your trip. Stari Grad is located on the western coast in a long, funnel-shaped bay lined with forests on both sides. Here you can moor your yacht right in front of the town hall. Take a walk through the charming medieval city centre with its small streets, quaint shops and several taverns offering local cuisine. The city, unlike Hvar, is rather quiet. Enjoy the evening in the harbour with a good glass of the island's red wine.

Korčula is the perfect mix of beautiful natural landscapes, old traditional towns and idyllic beaches. The Old Town of Korčula is definitely worth a visit. It is often called "Little Dubrovnik" because of its beautiful architecture, which shows the influence of the Venetians in Croatia. [links]

If you prefer a quieter anchorage, you can moor in the inlet of Borovnjaci on the adjacent island of Kakan.

If you have chosen to stay on the island of Vrgada, you will enjoy one last day out at sea. It will take a couple of hours to get back to Šibenik. Consider taking time to make a short stop to Murter or drop anchor in one of the secluded bays in the Šibenik archipelago for a dip in the Adriatic.

Alternatively, if you stayed closer to Kornati Islands National Park on the island of Žut, you can sail to the nearby island of Vrgada, which is famous for its golden beaches - the perfect retreat for your sailing holiday in northern Dalmatia.
