Here you need to essentially make a sales plan, and in doing so, you will have to answer some very big questions. You'll need to decide if the help of a broker or dealer is in order, or if you'll handle the sale on your own. Selling a used boat? Here's a step by step guide to make it happen quickly and easily.
Do you remember where you found your boat advertised? That may well be the best place to sell it again. Boats.com has over 120,000 boats for sale in a searchable database, and our online ads are easily updated with new photos or price changes (visit our Sell My Boat section to create a listing). Newspapers, newsletters, and other online classifieds can offer additional access to specialty buyers, whilst there is a wealth of information and more detail about why selling your boat online is best in most instances. And, on how to make your boat look even better online. [links]
Shooting a boat video with your smartphone will speed up the sale. Our statistics show that a boat listed with a video usually sells around 20 percent faster than one listed without. more

There are options that are available to you when you are in the process of junking an old boat. These options will depend on location and the age and condition of your boat.
These services are offered as a no-cost option for surrendering your boat. more
Boats, like anything else, have a lifespan that will one day run out. If your boat has run out its lifespan, this likely means that the boat is not worth the cost of upkeep, storage, and has a low monetary value.
California has similar places to junk boats as those in Florida. [links]
You might be required to remove hazardous waste first if they have any restrictions. This will be something you want to know before you take your boat there. here
2. If our offer to purchase your boat is not suitable to you then we can sell it on a consignment basis. In that situation we would determine what the true retail of you boat would be and then advertise that amount to the general public and put our considerable sales experience behind selling it. Once it is sold, a 10% sellers fee (or $3000, whichever is greater) would be deducted from the proceeds you receive. The only other charges that would be deducted are a service check out fee ($695), which we perform once an acceptable offer is received on your boat, plus the cost for any agreed upon repairs. The service check out fee is only incurred if we sell your boat or you choose to terminate the consignment in less than 60 days. [links]
The process of selling your boat with LMC Marine Center couldn't be easier. We offer you two options for selling your boat:
1. Provide us with a description of your boat along with pictures, the condition and the amount you want for it. From there, we can make you an offer and if it is acceptable to you then we will write you a check on the spot and you are done dealing with selling it! more
