Deauville is a pretty town, built mainly in the 1920s with a genteel old-fashioned feel and delightful Normandy architecture. There’s plenty going on, winter and summer: horse racing, polo at the oldest club in France, sailing, swimming and shrimping, classical music concerts and photographic exhibitions. And of course, the now famous Deauville American Film Festival that takes place every year at the beginning of September.

The star of the Opal Coast, that stretch of the north France coastline between Calais and the mouth of the River Somme, Le-Touquet (officially called Le Touquet Paris-Plage), is chic and smart.
This restaurant offers two menus. On the one hand we have the “Eveil des Sens” menu, which costs 160 euros and is only offered at meals from Thursday to Saturday and is not available in June, July, August and holidays. And on the other hand the “Mirazur Universe”, available all year for lunch and dinner, whose price reaches 260 euros.
Chef Mauro Colagreco’s cuisine is based on local products, most of which are grown in the garden of the restaurant itself on the beautiful Côte d’Azur. here
The best restaurant in the world, according to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants at its gala held on June 25 in Singapore is the Mirazur restaurant, run by Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco. This restaurant is located on the Cote D’Azur in Mentón, in the south-west of France and is also awarded 3 Michelin stars.
And what are those local products? We can find citrus from the Riviera, saffron from Sospel, olive oil and lemons from Mentón, wild mushrooms from the interior, fruits and vegetables from the Vintimiglia market, prawns from San Remo or local fish. [links]
Since 2019 this gala has not been held again, since in 2020 The World’s 50 Best Restaurants decided not to celebrate it as an aid to restaurants affected by Covid 19. In 2021 it will be held this year in October.
