Be sure to cover the floor area to avoid damage from spilled paint remover. Remove the door hardware. The best paint removers are citrus-based, and can be bought at any paint store. They’re effective for removing either latex or oil-based paint and won’t damage the fiberglass. more
Choose a paint stripper that states it is intended for use on fiberglass on the package. A paint stripper paste is likely your best bet if you are removing paint from a component that is still on the vehicle. Paste paint stripper is less likely to drip off of the fiberglass as it cures.

William Merkley asked:
My boat is painted with Imron. I was told by the manufacturer not to wax it. Wax will cause it to yellow. What are your thoughts on this?
Most boat waxes are made from Carnauba Wax, wich will cause yeallowing on fiberglass and painted surfaces. In addition, because Imron is a linear polyeurethane, waxes can also cause the paint to blister.
Many thousands of boat owners have had good success cleaning their LP painted surfaces with Boat Clean Plus and protecting and shining it with Kwik Shine . Neither of these products contain Carnauba Wax. Kwik Shine will also remove oxidation and offers UV protection to prevent damage and fading from the sun. For the decks, I recommend Sure Step as it will protect your decks, but is not slippery. Sure Step does not contain any Carnauba Wax so it won’t yellow or blister the finish.

A random orbital sander hooked up to a shop vac is great at keeping the dust to an absolute minimum while aggressively removing paint. If you are sanding on wood, be prepared to lose a little bit of the wood while sanding. Metals and even concrete should not have this problem.
Here are a few tricks that may just get that paint removed.
I didn’t learn better until years later. here
