Every year, the world’s most premium superyacht builders push the boundaries of design and construction to build the biggest superyachts in the world. German yard Lürssen has the most large-scale superyacht projects underway, claiming seven from this list, while Dutch yard Oceanco has three. The largest of the lot, the 182.9m REV Ocean, is set to become the most advanced and largest research vessel in the world when it is delivered. In second place, the 158m Project Blue is the largest Lürssen on the list and due for delivery in 2023. Several projects in this list are on hold, casting doubt over their scheduled delivery dates. The 141m Dream Symphony, currently underway at Dream Ship Victory in Turkey, is one such stalled project alongside the 126m Privilege One and 120m Project Y910. more

Set to become the most advanced research vessel in the world, REV Ocean will be 2.3 metres longer than Azzam, the world’s largest superyacht. Although REV Ocean will not be considered a fully-fledged superyacht, it has been developed with legendary superyacht designer Espen Øino. REV Ocean will be packed with advanced oceanography equipment and has been designed to be as fuel-efficient as possible. Other onboard features include storage for an autonomous submersible, as well as laboratories and an auditorium. Accommodation is for 36 guests and 54 crew members. REV Ocean was technically launched in August 2019 at the Fincantieri/ Vard Holdings yard in Tulcea, Romania.
The wise people also say, the perfection in the world also includes all experiences and perceptions which, if you consider the global insect apocalypse, or the disappearance of salamanders in my childhood back yard creek due in part to pollution from stormwater run off, you will quickly realize things could be better. Our hearts know that it is intolerable to live in a world where child sex trafficking rings exist. Our hearts know it is intolerable to live in a world where wealth inequality has been able to reach such heights. Capitalism says you are paid what your worth, but it’s not true. You are paid what you have the power to negotiate. No one making $50 million dollars a year is worth 1000 times more than the every day salary of $50,000/yr. But we don’t have to tolerate rising wealth inequality in a rivalrous dynamics led world. Stormwater run off doesn’t need to wipe out salamanders because it doesnt need to be toxic. The story we tell about the metaphysical reasons that we are here are directing the game that we’re playing. That game being one where we dismiss, disregard, or don’t know of the externalities of our choices. That game being one of rivalrous dynamics, modeled after the rest of the animal kingdom, and a game that we seemingly needed in order to become something unique, powerful and beautiful in the world. I believe the time has come for our deep adaptation to become something that we’ve never been. It’s time we play a different game, under a different story, with different answers than are pervasive today as to ‘What the human is here to do? We do not get to choose if we have answers for questions like ‘Why are we here?’ or ‘What is the human?’ When we havent asked these questions, in the absence of the sacred (for what else is the nature of these things?), culture injects answers that we often unconsciously adopt. One question I think would be excellent to begin with is ‘Do I want to consciously or unconsciously adopt answers to the deepest philosophical and metaphysical questions?’ here
Featuring the 10th most expensive yacht in the world is the Lady Moura, custom built by Blohm + Voss shipyards in 1990 for Saudi Arabian businessman Nasser Al-Rashid. This luxury liner is mostly recognisable from the outside owing to its name on the yacht exterior in prominent 24-carat gold lettering. The extravagance doesn’t end there. On board the 344-foot Lady Moura is a pool with retractable roof, a helicopter and a 75-foot Viscount Linley dining room table. However, the Lady Moura’s most remarkable feature is, without a doubt, the unique sand-covered hydraulic platform that slides out of one side of the yacht which can be adjusted to sit right at the waterline. Not only does this floating oasis boast real sand and deck chairs, but also palm trees for a truly authentic experience. The Lady Moura also features a Mangusta 80 boat or 48-feet Sant Juan boat, as well as a S76B helicopter. Finally, the yacht is capable of accommodating up to 30 guests and carrying 60 crew members.
You can’t blame these people for buying these yachts.
God bless them.
They think large and they leave large.
Its all a state of mind.
I’m not anywhere near that but I’m improving.
The wise people say the world is perfect as it is and you would be very arrogant to try to make the world the way YOU want, you can’t just undermine GOD.
So be happy with what you have and improve yourself, maybe one day if you do a good job you will have something that makes you happy just like these $4+ billion yachts make them happy here
Pelorus is not a charter yacht. A full-time crew of 46 members are aboard all year long.
It seems as if it’s not his mother tongue, and if that’s the case, the claim is well-enough professed. Your English is not any better– you don’t even capitalize the first word in your sentence! Rookie move, especially when bashing another xx
The 600-foot-long REV will become the world's largest privately owned superyacht in 2020.
Oystein Mikelborg, REV Ocean Operations Director, added: “Now that the initial build phase is complete, we anxiously await her delivery in Norway where we will focus on installing technical gear, scientific equipment, research labs, and all the exciting tools that researchers will use to achieve our core science goals.
Over the coming weeks the vessel will be towed down the Danube River, into the Black Sea, out through the dramatic Bosporus Strait in Istanbul, traverse the Mediterranean, exit around the Strait of Gibraltar, and finally arrive at the VARD shipyard in Brattvag, Norway. The journey is estimated to take 30 – 35 days depending on conditions en-route. [links]
