Well, maybe not on record but this evening Channel 8 in Portland said that this winter, starting this Wednesday is going to begin a long bitter cold winter. The forecaster said the frigid weather is going to be sustained for 3 months solid and temps are going to be well below normal. Portland area is going to get some light snow Thursday and if we get any kind of accumulation it's going to really drop the overnight lows which are already forecast to be nearing the single numbers in Portland. The daytime highs for the next ten days are predicted to be in the low 20s for the next 10 days and he said it's only going to get worse from there. [links]
