COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS here
All volunteers will receive an official WWCU T-shirt and invitation to the Trash Bash after-party event. The cleanup runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the Trash Bash immediately following.
Thank you for volunteering! LOOK FOR THE BLUE SURFRIDER FOUNDATION TENT AND FLAGS. We will set up just north of E. Atlantic Blvd. We always encourage volunteers to bring their own buckets and reusable gloves to cut down on waste (we will have some if you forget). Please use one glove to cut down on waste. Bring your own reusable bottle of water. Every family must sign a waiver. Minors must have an adult sign. We always give volunteer/community service hours. We have a form if you don't have your own. At the end of the cleanup, we will take a photo for Hands Across the Sand (uniting against offshore drilling). Please stay away from dunes and sea turtle nests. Follow us on facebook for future events and cleanups. Thank you! -Surfrider Foundation Broward County Chapter here

As part of the Ocean Conservancy's 32nd International Coastal Cleanup, Broward's Environmental Planning and Community Resilience Division is organizing a beach cleanup in Dania Beach. This year will be more meaningful since volunteers will help pick up debris from Hurricane Irma.
Search the International Coastal Cleanup global map to find additional cleanup sites near you and register to be a part of this global community of volunteers.
Trash bags and gloves will be provided by Keep Broward Beautiful. A short safety briefing with cleanup volunteers is given prior to the cleanup, on the day of the event, by KBB staff.
Volunteers must wear proper cleanup attire -- t‐shirt and shorts are acceptable. No flip‐flops. All volunteers must wear closed‐toe shoes. Volunteers are recommended to wear a hat and sunscreen, and bring their own water. With the South Florida heat, a snack is also a good idea to bring.
Join Keep Broward Beautiful as we clean up Fort Lauderdale Beach in honor of Earth Day.
Carpooling is highly recommended. Not only is it a good thing for the environment, but parking on the beach is limited. 50 parking passes will be available for volunteers once they sign in.
