For stubborn areas, such as bathtub rings, you can make a paste out of baking soda and vinegar.
Borax is another all-natural cleaning powder, but it is toxic if ingested. Make a paste with the borax to grind out small scratches on a porcelain or fiberglass bathtub. To do this, add just enough lemon juice to borax to create a thick paste. Rub the paste into the scratches until they are gone. The acid in the lemon juice helps remove alkaline soap scum deposits from the scratches. This works only on superficial scratches. more

I know I don’t necessarily have to mention this but I will anyway… DO NOT wax the floor of the tub or shower, for obvious reasons! You wouldn’t use Armor-All on the steering wheel of your car, right? Wax on the floor of a tub or shower is dangerous!!
A special wax does not have to be used for the tub or shower! Plain old Turtle Wax does an excellent job and in fact, one of it’s recommended uses is for the shower or tub walls! Apply the wax according to the instructions – generously and with a soft cloth. [links]
