As much as you love the activities that get your children’s little fingers moving, they can create quite a mess on the appliances in your kitchen. Baby oil is the ideal way to remove smudges and spots from your appliances because it’s alcohol-free and won’t cause damage.

The look you’re going for is lightly bronzed—not like an orange zebra. But it’s almost impossible to avoid a few streaks when applying self-tanner. Or is it? If you notice a spot that looks streaky or unevenly applied, don’t be tempted to wait until you’re finished applying to try and fix it. Instead, right when you notice a mistake, apply a small amount of baby oil with a Q-tip to the darker area and leave it on for ten minutes. Then, gently buff the skin with a warm washcloth to get rid of the extra tanner and start clean. Perfect.

And today I’ll be sharing 11 of my favorite practical uses for baby oil around the house. By the end of this post, you’ll see why everyone (and not just parents!) can benefit from keeping a bottle of baby oil in the cupboard!
Accidentally put on a too-tight ring? Grab your trusty bottle of baby oil! Apply a bit of the oil around the finger the ring is stuck on. Then (carefully) slide the ring right off!
If sticky stuff like bandaids, temporary tattoos, or stickers are giving you trouble, baby oil can help! Saturate the area with baby oil and let it sit for a minute or two. The oil will start dissolving the sticky adhesive, making it much easier to wipe off! more
You will, however, find that using a designated type of oil for conditioning or oiling bags will do a much better job. more

Yes, while baby oil is a pretty much light lubricant, it’s really great for softening leather and will in most cases over-soften the leather if it’s over saturated on leather or applied on an old leather item. here

Contrary to leather shoes and boots, leather bags are not quite as hard-wearing. So in the absence of the best leather conditioner, you can apply baby oil sparingly on your leather bags to give it a nice new look. You must ensure all extra oil is removed to prevent it from migrating onto you clothes. more
