It’s hard to believe that Cantiere delle Marche are still a relatively new shipyard. In less than a decade they have dominated the market for high quality explorer yachts in the 80’ – 120’ segment, developing a reputation for outstanding quality, superb engineering, and a total commitment to customer satisfaction.
I have wanted to video one of their yachts for a long time, so when the opportunity to produce a video of the 111’ “Hyhma” presented itself I jumped at the chance, even though the yacht is not for sale at the moment.
It is impossible to tell the story of “Hyhma” though without also referencing the shipyard that built her. This video opens the window on both the yacht…and the yacht builder. Many Italian shipyards claim to achieve the same excellence as their Northern European counterparts, Cantiere delle Marche never make such claims…they just let their yachts speak on their behalf. Among EXP 42’s key features will be the extremely large cockpit with fold-down balconies, and the upper deck salon that will show off the indoor/outdoor ethos of the project. The main salon will boast almost the same level of brightness thanks to purposefully oversized windows, while large vertical windows will mark the main deck forward section, providing ample natural light inside the yacht. Tender and jet skis will be hosted on the main deck forward but, at request, they can be stored on the upper deck stern terrace. In this latter configuration, a crane is hidden in a purposely designed carter on the sun deck to keep it out of sight once the tender has been launched. [links]

Designed purely to be used as an explorer vessel, the EXP 42 has reportedly been conceptualised to also house every imaginable guest feature you would expect from a luxury yacht. Paszkowski has designed various exterior deck spaces so guests will be able to relax in a number of outdoor spots designed to offer maximum privacy while at the same time allowing for open living spaces. more
In addition to interior versatility, an owner who prefers larger open-deck areas can opt for a version with extended deck overhangs. “As said before, these are just suggestions as the project is highly customizable. In the six guest cabins version we find a big and functional galley on the same level of the immense crew quarters: all of this without compromising anything as far as the VIP areas are concerned,” added the representative. Cantiere delle Marche was born in 2010, when the perfect storm of the nautical sector was striking globally. Equally as impressive is her beachy interior, which was the talk of the Cannes Yachting Festival and was personally curated by the owner. Each interior space has been transformed into a comfortable, cozy space that recalls a beach atmosphere of a far tropical paradise. here
Before, we spend a few minutes describing her incredible interior, her build details and engine room must be highlighted. Bob Denison personally viewed her during the show and can’t stop talking about Sergio’s impact on the design and engineering of the engine room and mechanical spaces.
Filippo Bevilacqua of Cantiere delle Marche’s Interior Design Dept. considers the owner’s role as “the most fruitful and effective I’ve ever experienced. Since the first meeting, her owner created a Pinterest board where we started sharing ideas and receiving incredibly precise inputs.” more
MIMI LA SARDINE features several social and lounging areas which are fitted out in hand-picked materials, including weathered oakwood with muted gold accents and Bianco Galizia granite. [links]
Her robust steel and aluminum body encompasses cupro-nickel piping, remote controlled valves, and electrically driven stabilizers. All pumps are doubled and there is also a bilge oil separator. Mechanical equipment has been installed in large and properly laid out technical spaces to make access and maintenance as easy as possible. here
