This custom finished 18' boat comes with a carbon fiber tabernacle mast, bronze opening port-lights and more. Unlike the other America cats this one has the tall rig and no outboard well, making her quite fast and easy to handle. She is clean inside and out. The Cape Cod Cat is offered in both a centerboard and a keel version. Although the centerboard version has slightly better upwind performance, the keel version is a wonderful compromise for more cabin space without the centerboard trunk. Both versions can have an optional outboard bracket and the keel version has an optional inboard engine. The Cape Cod Cat offers a perfect combination of day sailing cockpit space for four adults and overnight accommodations for two in the cabin. The cats beam provides a substantial amount of room overall. She sails best in light air with her full sail but can be easily reefed for windy conditions. Teak trim and aluminum spars allow for easy yearly maintenance and her trailer ability makes off season storage simple.
* RETIRED DESIGN NOTE Retired Cape Cod boats were built at one time, but due to a lack of owner support have been removed from regular production. The fiberglass molds to build these boats remain at Cape Cod Shipbuilding Co. but custom replacement parts may not be readily available. A retired boat could be built, but a fleet order would need to be placed to bring the molds into the shop. [links]

The Cape Power Cat 3500 PH has a distinctly “big boat” feel yet with the wide placement of her outboards, astonishing maneuverability, that with her manageable size guarantees easy handling.
Our first recreational model, the 3500 PH, will sit on a well-tried and tested design from the drawing table of Chris White. Chris started on this project in 2004 with Russell Hunt of Multihull Development, Inc. Production of, what eventually became known as the Buzzards 34 began in 2006. An accomplished multihull designer and world cruiser, Chris brought an overriding concern for offshore seakeeping, performance, and practicality. This is clearly seen in the resulting hull design.
