The other ships in the fleet come in at anywhere from 101,509 to 130,000 GT and have guest capacities between 2,764 and 3,690. [links]
The rest of the ships in Carnival's fleet have a total volume that exceeds 100,000 tons. The newest ships, part of the Vista class, are the carrier's largest. Those three ships – the Vista, the Horizon and the Panorama – have a gross tonnage of 133,500 each. The Vista and Horizon can accommodate more than 3,900 passengers. With the 2019 launch of the Panorama, more than 4,000 people can fit comfortably on a single Carnival ship. here
Passengers who board a ship in the Fantasy or Spirit class will find no shortage of high-quality attractions, however. Carnival routinely refurbishes and upgrades its older ships. When a company has been around the block (around the sea?) as many times as Carnival has, it figures out what customers want. In Carnival's case, what customers want seems to be bigger ships. Each time the company expands its fleet, it breaks its own size record. Carnival's largest ships are now nearly twice as large as its smallest. Those smallest ships aren't exactly tiny, though. All Carnival cruises set sail on huge vessels that are loaded with amenities.
The smallest ships in Carnival's fleet are those in the Fantasy class. Each one has a gross tonnage of 70,367 or 71,909 tons and can carry between 2,054 and 2,130 passengers. The ships in Carnival's Spirit class are the only others in the company's fleet that have a gross tonnage measurement under 100,000. Those four ships have a GT of 88,500 and hold 2,124 passengers each. more
If you love sailing on Carnival Cruise Line, you now have the opportunity to buy one of the cruise ships that sailed in their fleet. A former Carnival cruise ship, Holiday, is still for sale on QPS Marine Ships for a mere $55,000,000.
The 1,452 passenger cruise ship was built by Carnival as the first Holiday class ship. The 46,052 gross ton ship, considered small by today’s standards, went into service in 1985 and was named Holiday. The cruise ship remained with Carnival Cruise Line for 24 years until 2009 when the ship was transferred to sister line Iberocruceros. After a five year stint with Ibero, the vessel was bought by Cruise & Maritime Voyages and now sails under the name MS Magellan.
