Endorsements are issued to certified masters and officers to officially recognise the Certificates of Competency they hold. Officers of any nationality may serve on a Cayman Islands ship if they hold a Certificate of Competency issued by an Administration recognised by the CISR. The current list of recognised Administrations can be found in the latest revision of Shipping Notice 05/2011.
Enclose a copy of your Certificate of Competency;

Now into his 18th year as a charter yacht captain, Mike brings to the maritime industry a wealth of knowledge and experience along with a professional attitude and meticulous eye for detail. Mike started his maritime career straight out of school by joining the Navy as a submariner where he served for 5 years before moving across to the Superyacht industry. In the early days he worked as an engineer before obtaining his masters license, and has since taken command of some of the industry’s well-known yachts such as Penny Mae, Princess Mariana, Majestic, Lady Michelle and Katharine, resulting in many highly successful charter seasons in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. more
During this time Mike has also managed a number of refit and maintenance projects ranging from annual shipyard periods to complete repair and refit projects on vessels from 40 – 73m. Mike holds the following maritime certification:

Applicants who do not hold acceptable national certificates or who desire original RMI certificates must pass written examinations given by the RMI. The examinations incorporate new material required by various conventions and are in a multiple-choice format. These examinations also incorporate material specified by the STCW Convention, as amended. Guidelines for various examinations conducted by the RMI Maritime Administrator can be found here.
