I'm going to put a kicker on my boat, a Ranger Reata. I'm debating whether I should install the motor so it controlled from the console, or as a tiller steer. It costs quite a bit more to have it installed to the console. I'm imagining that the console install will also limit the maneuverability a bit compared to running it with a handle. [links]
Anyone run a tiller kicker on a console boat? Any positives or negatives for each install that I'm missing? Any feedback appreciated. [links]

2007 1860 Duracraft Oyster Bay center console kicker rig. It has a 2006 90 mercury 4 stroke and a 2006 9.9 mercury 4 stroke kicker motor both have almost new propa on them. Kicker motor is attached on a hydraulic jack plate that is wired to the front steer stick for easy up and down adjustment for the depth you are fishing. I also have 2 of the same spare kicker motors as well one needs a part to get back going and the other is for a parts motor. 4 400 watt hps lights on the front with electronic dimmable ballasts. A custom flush front removable deck and the steering is done with stainless steel cable and hardware for the kicker. 4 interior speakers with amp for a subwoofer hookup, there is no sub at the moment. Green interior lights all the way around and green underwater lights. Garmin gps unit and a lowrance fish finder. Hydroturf on front deck with underpadding shows some wear and tear but functions well. Could use replacing. Galvanized trailer ready to roll with fairly new tires and hubs. Boat drafts around 5 inches while fishing. This is a bowfishing boat that kills fish and won’t disappoint. Yes it has some dents and scratches here and there but it doesnt effect performance and it doesn’t leak. Boat fishes beautifully just needs a new owner come get it.
