Prestige Paint Poseidon is perfect in rooms with indoor plants and feel light and natural with white and gray accents. Again, art and accents with gold elevate the look.

Raw wood furniture works well in this soft cloud of BEHR Shea. The color is a pale pink, which let the pastel pink curtains pop. Because of the soft neutrals in this room, you can add bold design elements, like a modern yellow chair, black and white art, and metallic accents. here

In a combination work area/living room, use Prestige Paint Porpoise to blend together two separate rooms with style. Warm wood makes the space inviting, a few indoor plants add natural touches, but the artwork and rug add tension and fun. more

Sea Salt is a super popular colour for ANY room (not just for marble!). Sea Salt is a lovely soft green with a gray background to calm it down. It’s also been known to flash a bit blue – without committing to it enough to stretch out of the green zone entirely.

The LRV of Stonington Gray is 59, so it has some decent body to it and will only look bright and fresh in a well-lit room. here

The LRV of Sea Salt is 64, so it will be slightly brighter looking than Sidewalk Gray. more

Which is also a valid point with paint. If you aren’t too fussy about undertones and are just looking for ‘a colour to change your space’, then you might not care too much (and I’ll slap you with a wet noodle next time I see you). However, if you’re aware of the different undertones in paint colours and want the colour you’ve CHOSEN to be the colour that ends up on your walls, you’ll want to use the paint brand that your chosen colour came from. Just LOOK at the variation in undertones! The BM match has more green, which means that if you had a south-facing room , it could look even greener. This might make Kermit the Frog happy, but I’ll safely assume you don’t like to eat flies or date pigs, which means you may want to get Sherwin William’s version of their own colour which casts that bit more blue in comparison.

What end up with is a $60 different and the wrong paint colour. If you ask ME, it would be worth spending $60 to get the right colour, rather than having to spend ANOTHER $180 to paint my walls with the RIGHT colour in the RIGHT brand when the colour match doesn’t turn out QUITE as I expected. here

In the above example of Benjamin Moore Chelsea Gray, the PROPER sample shows the wee nugget of green that’s tucked inside of it. The colour match from SW shows very LITTLE green and is also a bit darker.
