14) Think pest control and invest in some insect repellents. Mothballs can be effective.
10) Check your exhaust system by disconnecting it from the water lift muffler. Check for any anomalies like buildups and corrosion. Ensure that the water injection hose is not clogged in any water.

General Power Package Preparation [links]
All Engines
Remove both hoses from the Sea-water pump on the front of the engine. Drain the water from the hoses.
Make sure the boat is in the water or an uninterrupted supply of water is supplied to the engine.
On units equipped with the Ski-Vee V-drive transmission assembly, remove the drain plugs that are threaded into the heat exchanger at the rear of the V-drive. This will drain water from the heat exchanger and hoses. more
Start the engine and check the fuel filter for fuel leaks. If leaks are found, stop the engine immediately and repair them. Recheck filter installation.
If the boat is to be placed in storage with fuel in the fuel tank(s) that does contain alcohol (if fuel without alcohol is not available): Fuel tank(s) should be drained as completely as possible and Sta-Bil gasoline stabilizer added to any fuel remaining in the tank. Follow the instructions on the container.
STEP 3
Replace the fuel filter.
Next I will pull the wheel bearings, and the seals from the hubs. Before you reinstall the bearings, put in new seals in the hubs, don’t reuse the seals your just asking for trouble, and seals are not expensive. here
Next check your winch rope or strap to make sure it is in good shape. Put a small amount of grease on the gear teeth, don’t gob it on; just a small amount is all that is needed. Put a small amount of grease on the tongue hitch mount as well. Check your rollers if you have them and make sure they are all in good condition. If you find a crack in one replace it. [links]
Adjust the bearings as to the manufactures specs. And reinstall your bearing buddies if you use them. If you don’t have them I suggest you get some, as this is the best way to put grease in your hub for bearing protection and to keep the water out. Make sure you don’t over fill the hubs with grease as the hubs will run hot, you don’t want that, and you don’t want to pop the rear bearing seal either. [links]
OK, so you have the batteries out and you are wondering where to store them. If you have not done this before, all you need to do is to keep them in a dry place. The old myth that you can’t put them on a concrete floor is just that, a myth. I have found a product that really works in your battery to preserve the life of it and to keep it in new condition and, no corrosion anywhere. here
