The Progressive Miami International Boat Show and the Miami Yacht Show will run from Thursday, February 13 through Monday, February 17. As usual, highly anticipated new models will make their debuts at the shows.
The Miami International Boat Show will be held at its usual location, the Miami Marine Stadium, but the Miami Yacht Show will be at a new downtown location at One Herald Plaza. A water taxi will shuttle visitors between the two shows for $10 per day. The Miami International Boat Show is the largest consumer boat show in the world, and the two shows are expected to attract over 100,000 people. In an effort to combat traffic congestion, MIBS has invested more than a million dollars in a transportation plan which will offer a free shuttle bus, paid water taxi services, public transportation options and discounted train tickets.
The Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi today announced its dedicated transportation routes and discounted rates for the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show taking place November 5-9, 2015. The official and only provider of water transportation to the show and between its venues, Water Taxi offers a vastly more affordable, convenient, and pleasant way to access the popular and crowded event.
Water Taxi will feature northern, southern and New River routes, each focused exclusively on the event with limited stops and 11 boats running the duration of the show which drop off and pick up every 10-15 minutes. The service will run daily from one hour before the show to two hours following its conclusion. Pick-up locations, including the Gallery One Double Tree Hotel, Riverside Hotel and Fort Lauderdale Convention Center, have been selected to minimize boat show traffic, and each provides ample parking options at very low rates.
All-day Water Taxi wristbands will be just $10 during the boat show, compared to on-site parking which can cost upwards of $40 per day. A five-day Water Taxi wristband can also be purchased in advance for only $40 by contacting the Water Taxi office.
