I think about the bow seat like I do the optional coffee table/ice chest on mine--in the way. I often need to get to the front fast when coming into docks, etc. and it's really nice to have a clear path without having to jump over such items. Us old retired guys don't jump too well any longer. [links]
PS: I grew up in Hayden, CO
I have no desire to have 6-8 people sitting in the front half of my boat. Their combined weight actually lifts the rear of the boat and the front toons run too deep causing propeller ventilation. Boats are more efficient with the weight in the rear half of the boat--allowing the nose cones to get out of the water at fast cruising times.
Has anyone else added this option to their boat and, if so, what did you pay for it? I'm willing to learn if I'm just a cheap old fart.

There's no drain plugs at the back of the toons like I've seen on some, but there are three plugs on the top of both toons, front, center and back. What are they for, and why would there not be drain plugs at the bottom of the toons?
I am looking for a way to drain my pontoons on my 1992 suntracker 24 ft. party barge.
I can see 2 red plastic pipe plugs on top of each pontoon my idea is to remove these plugs and pump out any water
that maybe in either pontoon, I am not having ANY issues with water in the pontoons but do to the age of the boat I would like the have acesss to drain or pump them out as the boat sits in the lake from early spring to fall. I was also thinking of drilling a 3/4 inch hole in top of the stern end of the pontoon and pumping out from this hole then installing a standard drain plug in the drilled holes .
