I have added some pretty extensive upgrades to this boat to make it how I want to get. The Vetus Bowthruster was professionally installed by New England bow thrusters. It was not a factory option on these boats and I have yet to see another 282 sailfish with one listed. It really makes maneuvering around the dock a breeze. Also with the dual flush mounted 12 inch and 8 inch Raymarine screens the electronics package on this boat is much nicer and far ahead of any other comparable boats. I also had 2 raystar antennas mounted on the hardtop to allow for redundant systems in the event of a failure. This boat really has been maintained with an open checkbook, and has followed Yamaha service maintenance and tuneup schedule of majors/minors every year. I also had my engines scoped and although my Yamaha five-star mechanic did not feel it was necessary to perform any mid section exhaust corrosion replacement I went ahead and replaced it anyhow this winter just to be proactive.
