Grand Banks is a factory direct sales operation and so we avoid dealer-based service which we have found to be inconsistent. Instead, we’ve invested heavily on service centres and a network of trained personnel around the world who can provide you with the personal assistance and experience we feel is consistent with our standards and values. here
The hull and deck of your yacht come with a two-year warranty and the engines are supplied with extended warranties of five years. Any third-party components are covered by vendor warranties that we have approved.
As so many of the components in a Grand Banks yacht are actually manufactured in our factory, we can supply and deliver spare parts for any model in our range at very short notice. here

The lazarette hatches on Grand Banks are subject to water penetration. We see it all the time. We have developed ways to draw the moisture out and reseal but we often recommend building new hatches. These hatches are complicated construction with plywood inner core, fiberglass shell, teak decking, caulking, screws and hardware; lots of places to keep watertight.
We see damaged swim platforms on Grand Banks a lot. We can repair minor damage but recommend replacement for major damage. Our replacements are much better made and sturdier than OEM.

The C. Raymond Hunt hull design is a time-honoured classic and one that we have retained for the EB44. The deep-V form attains a top speed of 33 knots, a cruising speed of 23, and maintains a remarkably level running attitude without perceptible bow rise. This leads to a smooth and unusually dry ride in rough conditions. Her longitudinal centre of gravity is so perfectly balanced that you can throttle up and down without adversely affecting the perfect poise of her trim.
In evolutionary terms, the EB44 is a spectacularly successful example of gene splicing! As the original ‘Downeaster’, Eastbay set the standard against which all coastal cruisers are judged. While carefully preserving its traditions of style, luxury and speed, we’ve enhanced its DNA with the latest marine technology, manufacturing materials and construction techniques. Accessed via a teak hatch in the cockpit, the EB44’s engine room is a study in orderliness, simplicity and practicality. There’s no spiderweb of wires, hoses and cables and no complicated fuel manifold. All components have been thoughtfully installed and colour-coded where necessary to make them easy to identify and access. The IPS drive units have plenty of headroom which makes maintenance work easy and convenient.
