In her day, the Hatteras 53 Convertible was the industry standard for fishing yachts in excess of 50ft. She is very well proportioned with a long foredeck and low freeboard that is perfectly setup for offshore fishing! There were a few different floor plans originally offered. This particular vessel was a 2 stateroom, galley down configuration. During her renovation, the owner moved the galley up to the salon and added a 3rd stateroom on the lower deck. It's a very nice design that can sleep two additional people. Entering the salon from the aft deck, the new galley is starboard. It boasts a recessed sink and stove, new granite countertops and new cabinetry. Port side is a couch that is directly opposite of a counter top mounted, flatscreen TV. In the cabinetry forward of the salon is a microwave, misc. storage, AC electric panel and a new stereo system. The salon is complete with all new lighting (rope lighting for evening use), wood flooring and stereo speakers (which is applicable throughout the entire vessel). Moving forward to the lower deck, the master state room is Port. It boasts wood flooring and a full bath with new cabinetry, granite countertops, tile work and a modern style bowl sink. It has ample storage and a hanging closest. Opposite the master state room is the renovated third stateroom. While relatively small compared to the other two staterooms, it is well designed with double bunks and additional storage compartments. Heading completely forward is the second stateroom. It also boasts updated cabinetry, wood flooring, a full bath with granite countertops, tile work and the same modern style bowl sink. It has plenty of storage and a hanging closet. Exiting the salon to the aft deck, you will notice a beautifully renovated fighting chair, new nonskid paint, renovated storage compartments and all new cushions for the various seating areas. The ladder will take you to the flybridge, where you will notice an updated helm with renovated swivel chairs and matching cushions on the forward bench seat. At the helm, there are updated analog gauges and a modernized electronic package. This is to include the new Garmin GPS and radar system (not pictured but will be mounted soon), new bow thruster system with joystick controls, VHF, autopilot and more. On either side of the flybridge, additional ladders will take you to the tuna tower. There is an upper helm control system that will also be completed, prior to the sale of the vessel. On the foredeck, the original bow railing has been replaced with a lower profile system that wraps around the pulpit. New wood trim is mounted on either side of the windlass. The current owner took a lot of pride in restoring this vessel! Most importantly, as much care that was invested in the cosmetic appeal was replicated in the mechanical and general functionality of the boat. While the list is too numerous to fully detail, the core work is highlighted below: -Complete rebuild of both engines in 2014 -New MasPower Genset with push button start, sound shield and auto safety shutdowns. 9kw with 5 year warranty. -Modern Vetus bow thruster with joystick (275 lb thrust). -Upgraded GPS and Radar System. Bluetooth, remote and smartphone controls. -The flat screen is a 40" smart TV that has integrated internet capabilities ,not seen in many boats! and much more.
