The staff/owner was very professional and gave us good instructions beforehand. He also gave us good recommendations on where to go and what to watch for. The boat was easy to control. It was a great time that I had with my son.
I definitely recommend taking a private boat, its well worth the money and a great way to see the places on your want list. Its also really nice to not be rushed at any of the sites because all of them are worth taking your time !!
This trip was incredible. Be prepared to be met in Laiya at the end of what’s seems like a dead end road. But once you meander your way through tight turns and local housing and shops, you walk down an alley onto the beach. The speed boat takes you to where the boat is moored and so begins the tranquility. The down side/tricky part is the shared bathroom. Going with extended family or 2 families or a group of VERY close friends makes entering someone else’s birth easier when accessing the loo! The births are very basic but with all linen and towels provided. The shower is an on deck garden hose but works! The food is freshly cooked and can be freshly bought or caught. All in all it was a fabulous weekend, made INCREDIBLE by our unexpected visit from whale sharks. [links]
