Step 2: Patch the leak. To begin the patching process, start with a dry and deflated inflatable and clean the leak area with isopropyl alcohol. Cut a piece of clear Tenacious Tape or a Tenacious Tape Flex Patch to fit over the hole (overlapping about 1/4”). Once you’ve set it in place, peel off the backing and then apply pressure to get it to stick. more

A deflating inflatable can throw a serious wrench in your plans, but with just a little bit of know-how and a few useful tools, your day out on the water can be salvaged. If your inflatable pontoon, SUP board, boat, river tube, PVC or Hypalon raft, or even your large vinyl unicorn floaty have holes in them, they can easily be repaired. All you need are some heavy-duty, waterproof repair products like a patch, glue, tape, or repair kit to permanently patch-up your inflatables.

Step 2: Apply Aquaseal FD and wait. Once you’ve created your backing with tape, apply your flexible, urethane adhesive , which is part of your Aquaseal FD Repair Kit, over the hole with an overlap of 1/4" to 1/2”. Let the glue dry overnight on a level space for 8-12 hours and then it’ll be ready to use.

Step 1: Deflate and prep. Deflate your item and clean the repair area with isopropyl alcohol. To create a backing for easier adhesive repair, place packing or masking tape in the hole and apply pressure.

The telltale signs of peeling paint are hard to miss: spidery cracks, holes in the paint surface, even large strips or sections of paint that come off on their own. The reasons for peeling paint can vary widely. Painting over dirty walls, excess moisture, improper prep, and using latex paint on top of oil paint can all affect the paint's adhesion and cause it to eventually begin flaking off. To solve the problem, you'll need to remove the peeling areas and start over with fresh coats of primer and paint. Use our step-by-step guide to learn how to fix peeling paint.

Before you get started, it's important to determine whether the peeling paint contains lead. If your home was built prior to 1978, it could have lead-based paint, which can pose serious health risks, especially for children. You can find testing kits at hardware stores, but to be sure, hire a certified company to collect chips and send them to a lab for testing. If you think your home has lead-based paint, do not try to fix the peeling paint yourself. Instead, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends hiring a professional from their approved list of providers who can follow lead-safe work practices.

Peeling paint must be removed prior to applying a fresh coat of paint to ensure proper adhesion.

After cleaning the male and female ferrules and removing any exterior scratches and dents they are then chemically blued to give that as new look. I can do different colours for the ferrules from light straw through to black. The rods beginning to look the part now. Next step the intermediate and decorative whippings. here
