Zielinski's extensive business experience includes working in Ford Motor Company's dealer development department. He also owns a marine retail establishment in Wisconsin. Wilson started Misty Harbor in 1990 and has grown the business into a leading pontoon-boat manufacturer.

When production resumes, the company will have more than 100 employees at its Illinois facility. Crownline plans to build a mix of all of its boats, which range from 18 to 34 feet. Quantities of each type - bowriders, deckboats, cuddies and cruisers - will depend on what dealers need and what they have in stock, Heisner says.

Riem says the company is putting together processes to honor all warranties and "make the dealers whole." As for vendors owed money, he says, "Some of those outstanding balances are previous to us taking over, and so some of those things will have to be worked out."

Heisner says that despite the prolonged downturn in the boating industry, he's confident Crownline will come back strong. The company has more than 120 North American dealers and sells internationally through distributors. [links]

After it came in they called me to tell me the trailer which I had from my last boat which I left at the dealer was too small for my new rig.
So they sold me a new $1,200 trailer that they had in stock for $600. When I went to pick up the rig they said their new trailer had defective tires. I had to run around to several trailer shops that sold tires and brought them back to the dealers shop because I was not about to wait another week for their replacement tires to come in. They paid for the new tires though. here

So I immediately went back to the dealer and had him order the max for my boat which was the 40. It only cost me $500 more, but the best part was the 2007 40 Merc was a new design and was something like 20 lbs lighter than the 2006 30! The boat jumped onto plane in about 3 feet after they swapped the 30 for the 40 hp. here

Thanks for the replies, after seeing your boats I can tell It should be worth the wait. I ordered the 1625 and upgraded the motor to a Mercury 60 four stroke. The dealer says that it was a good thing I ordered when I did because orders placed now have an E.T.A of July 31st. I was getting worried because I put a good size down payment and did not hear from the dealer until I called him last week. Any advice on breaking in a new boat would be greatly appreciated.

Hello fellow Lunder and welcome to iboats!
Haha, now the fun starts . . . . . The waiting . . . Worst part of ordering a boat new is the waiting as the days get warmer and the sun gets stronger.

Re: breaking in a new outboard. Just take the motors manual with you and follow it it exactly with your watch. You can down load a manual for your exact motor off the web so you can pre-plan what you have to do. I'm lucky enough to live 10 minutes from the Hudson River. I wanted to get the break-in in period out of the way, so I just pointed my boat South and traveled for 1/2 the hours and then headed back North the 2nd 1/2. This way I could enjoy my rig on my second trip out without having to vary the speeds all day.
This is a little harder to do on a small lake or a windy day! here

I have a 2019 e235 xs that the rear storage hatch (where the i/o motor would be) that refuses to open. While the boat is still under warranty my dealer is located over an hour away and would require me pulling the boat, getting it serviced and relaunching. I was hoping for some hints or a tip to get the hatch cover to open - but the factory has no customer service whatsoever (try to find their phone number). I sent an email request a week ago that went without reply. The dealer has no interest in providing assistance over the phone as they can't bill me for it. Had I known of this utter lack of after sale support I would have never purchased a Crownline. more

I bought a 2015 Crownline 264 CR boat from Wilson Marine in Harrison Township Michigan. I have had many small issues warranty issues with it. It is always a fight with the dealer to do warranty work and Crownline will not properly respond to me. Now the last issue is with the bimini and Crownline states that my boat has been in some form of accident. It has not and I am willing to show them the boat but they don't want to see it because this is just a story made up to prevent them from doing warranty repair. The bimini is bent at the ends and nowhere else.

I bought my First Crownline, a used 20 footer.. Very nice condition and good quality boat. I have not taken the boat out yet.. Anyway, the boat came with I assume a factory installed WakeBoard Tower.. I called Crownline to ask how to lower the tower. The lady IMMEDIATELY connected me to a recording with the irritating spill about, "Thank you for Calling Crownline," with a basically a ** and, "Call your Dealer!" The Closest Dealer has no clue about the 'WAKEAIR" VELOCITY TOWER". The company is supposedly "Roswell".. They said they did not make the tower.. Called Crownline Back. Same ** put me right back to the recording that says, "Call Your Dealer". SERVICE TODAY SUCKS!! here
