Delta Private Jets is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Delta Airlines company. The Delta Private Jets card allows a purchaser to pay for a 2 year card in increments of $100,000, $250,000, or $500,000 that is loaded into an account which can be used on anything within their network. Delta Private does have a fleet but also operates off of the charter network. They simplify the private flight system by unifying costs for the clients. This simplicity comes at the expense of elevated costs and carries many restrictions including blackout dates that make up about 10% of the calendar year.

*All competitor prices are extrapolated from company marketing materials by mathematically calculating hourly rates and expanding the rates to 25 hours. Prices are subject to fluxuations and additional fee's may apply. Always consult legal advice before entering a binding contract. Sky Routes savings per card assumes all routes are flown as Sky Routes. here

The Marquis Jet Partners were purchased by NetJets in 2010. Since acquiring them, the Marquis brand has been the most profitable for NetJet’s Card program. The Marquis program allows access to NetJet’s fleet of aircraft. This access is sold 25 hours at a time. This card entails several restrictions which are highlighted on the Marquis Jet Card agreement as well as the Marquis Jet Card Terms and Conditions. There are differences between the NetJets Fractional Program and the Marquis Jet Card which must be taken into consideration when choosing between the options.

The large jet card companies all quote their prices in slightly different ways. Some of them include fuel, some of them add fuel surcharges (ie costs above a fixed allowance per gallon), some include Federal Excise Tax and others don't. Another item to ask about is the reservation period for "Peak Days" - the busiest travel days of the year. On normal days you can usually request a jet within 10-12 hours but this increases significantly for Peak Days when demand is much higher.

Other key jet card features that can vary between providers are i) the term of the agreement, 12 months is a common period, and some providers offer 18 months or two years ii) what happens at the end of the term, most providers will let you roll over unused hours or money into a new card, or will simply reset the fixed hourly price for each aircraft, iii) what catering is included, most providers include basic catering with extra fees for additional provisions.

Notes: NetJets has its own fleet of newer aircraft. Sentient and Air Partner both broker their aircraft, working with a select group of operators. See the leading jet card providers for more details on these business models. Sentient offers two card programs, their SJ25 is for light jet flyers. Their "SJ25+" offers larger aircraft and gurantees wifi. AirPartner offers a very flexible card program, with minimum payments as low as $25,000, and also has a Trans-Atlantic card program. here

When you're comparing jet cards you'll first need to decide what type of aircraft you want to be in - so whether it's a light jet, midsize jet, heavy jet etc. Here's an example of actual prices and services for three of the leading jet card providers in light jets.

Price, be it hourly rates or cost to buy into a program, is often a primary focus for buyers, at least initially. However, price, in the opinion of Private Jet Card Comparisons, shouldn’t be the be all and end all. While nobody wants to overpay, unless you are talking about flying on a King Air 350i instead of a Gulfstream G650, most of you who can afford the cheapest jet card out there can also afford the most expensive.
