Then once the hole is drilled, slide down the ignition switch into the bezel which will be provided with the switch. Then, thread the plastic nut onto the underside of the switch and tighten it such that it holds the bezel in place. here

Bypassing a broken ignition switch is quite a technical procedure that will require a little more than just a manual and a keen sense of learning. The best case scenario is that you take your car to a professional to handle it or simply just replace the switch.

In many cases, a job such as this one would require columns being removed and all sorts of rewiring, depending on the vehicle of course. For those of you who have older vehicles and are confident enough about your abilities, the best option is to install a push button ignition on your car, so we’ve created a 13 step guide on how to do just that.

You can bypass the ignition switch that way. Be wary of the jumper cables (red) getting too hot.

Edit: instead of digging into the ignition switch, merely check for voltage at the red wire at amplifier while cranking. Proper voltage there will verify that all the wiring is intact. You'll need a voltmeter (multimeter). [links]
I don't know your exact solenoid. On some the two posts are start and ground. On others the case is the ground, one is run power, and one is start power, the start bridges over to the run to provide power to the coil while starting. more
As for the safety switch, not sure where it lives. can it be over ridden? I looked a bit at the throttle control. but nothing jumped out at me saying " I am a safety switch".

If the wires and connections are good, and clean with no corrosion and you have a new solenoid, then it's the starter. Have you tried Jumping the starter directly to see if it fires? more
