Start at the lowest setting and begin spraying in four-foot sections using a sweeping motion. Start at the farthest corner of the basement and work your way towards the doorway. Allow the detergent to sit on the floor for about ten minutes. [links]

This recipe shows you how to clean a concrete basement floor using trisodium phosphate, which you can find at a local home improvement store. Trisodium phosphate, or TSP, is an inorganic alkaline compound that is highly soluble in water and works well as a cleaning agent. [links]

Rinse the detergent out of the washer and use the highest setting to blast the dirt, grime, and soap away in the same manner that you applied it. Once all of the soapy water has rinsed down the drain, use a dry mop or towels to wipe away excess water.

Begin by wrapping areas of the basement with drop cloths that you don’t want to get wet while spraying. Follow your pressure washer’s manufacturer’s directions for adding detergent.

If you are surrounded by the scent of cat urine but can't find any stains, consider investing in a black light, which will illuminate the cat pee, as if by magic. They are readily available in the larger pet stores, as well as online.

The most important thing to remember about cat urine is "get it while it's fresh." Urine goes through a decaying process as it "ages" in your carpet, caused by bacteria feeding on the organic wastes, and at the same time, converting it to gasses, primarily that strong ammonia smell. here

Sometimes we cat lovers just have to "get down dirty" when the subject of cleaning up messes arises, namely the pee, poop, and barf accidents that occasionally plague a house with cats. We'll address these separately, as they each require a bit different treatment.

The good news is, dogs don’t usually pee on these things – it’s a lot easier for them to pee in the grass than go out of the way to pee on the sidewalk. here

I’ve already touched a little on the sealing method as a way of protecting them against unwanted odors.

You might think of using bleach to clean the concrete floors after removing the stain on your concrete floor, but bleach won’t kill the odor. It simply disinfects. Bleach is harmful to breathe, and it’s toxic for your pets, too.

The smell of ammonia can also stay muted after the urine dries, and may get activated once the concrete gets wet again. To eliminate this problem, you have to do a deep clean the concrete to get it all out and seal the surface to prevent future seepage.

The reason that urine odor is so difficult to remove is because of the uric acid crystals found in urine. Any type of urine from mammals, whether it is human or cat urine, contains uric acid crystals, which can only be removed by using an enzyme-based cleaning product. The product must have the correct combination of enzymes and other ingredients to destroy the uric acid crystals and at the same time eliminate the bacteria surrounding the urine which causes the odor. more

If the mentioned method fails, you may have to rely on your sense of smell. This may be a bit squeamish for others who have a sensitive nose and it may take longer, but this is still the most reliable method on identifying the odor.

To rinse the TSP on the concrete floor, pour a very hot water then vacuum it up to suck up any remaining residue of urine in the concrete. Allow 24 hours for the concrete to be completely dry. Also. you may want to do this process twice or more for heavily affected areas.

If you shine the black light in a dark room, cat urine will glow yellow, blue or green, making it easy to see exactly where you need to clean. Mark those areas for easy reference using chalk.
