When cleaning your boat cover it is important to make sure you use the proper cleaning solution and procedure. You should not wash your cover in a washing machine or with any harsh cleaners. Over time it can damage both the water repellency and the cover itself.

Mix ingredients in a bucket or in a spray bottle. Apply to the spot of concern and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse--allow to dry thoroughly before folding.

You can also take your boat cover to a cleaning service and have it cleaned there.

Then, spread the boat cover on a smooth surface and apply a coat of wax. If you’re using wax that doesn’t require heating, then simply rub it onto the material you want to water seal. Make sure to cover hard to reach areas as well.

The quickest and most convenient method is to use waterproofing solutions for boat covers. Don’t use sprays for outdoor gear as they cannot fully seal your boat cover. Use liquid solutions for sail covers which also add a UV protection coat. This is very useful taken into account that your boat stays under direct sunlight for days on a row. more

As an alternative, you can also use KIWI Camp Dry. Many boat owners confirmed it works great, so if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, then this is the right choice for you.

You’ll get much better results by patrolling during peak seagull time, which is early in the morning and early in the evening. more

Your ship will either move or be moored or docked, so you need a solution that matches all scenarios.

But it’s not just the pooping damage to your boat and the irritating stains. The disease is often transmitted by seagulls and can be a health concern. Think of the places where you see them when they’re not on your ship.

You’ve probably seen store owners put spikes and netting over shop doors and signs to avoid birds sitting on customers and pooping. more

You Made Everything Easy We just installed the zipper we received on our sea ray boat canvas- what an incredibly easy experience! It makes snapping the canvas so much easier with the zipper extension. Thanks for the crimper & tape - you made everything easy. We just ordered 5 more longer ones to completely update our canvas. Thank you so much for your quick response on our first order. F.Summer

This is a million dollar question. Once a fabric has lost it's color, not much can be done.
303 Fabric guard and re-waterproofing is about as good as it gets. I have some customers who have painted with varying degrees of success. The paint would be acrylic or latex based. It can crack and peel when the canvas moves around, so I don't recommend it.
However check out the photos of one of my awesome DIY customers. He painted his canvas and turned it black from forest green.
Sorry I can't give you more hope for a better looking boat canvas.
Thanks for the question.

Rare Traits "True skill and craftsmanship are rare traits in today's society. When they're held by a person that truly cares about her customers, brings honesty, creativity and passion to her work, you have just described Tammy Hampton. Better known as "The Cover Girl," Tammy has been both a friend, mentor and business partner for nearly twenty years. I found Tammy by her name tag. sewn to a sailboat cover, in a nearby marina. The boat cover was fitted with such precision, it clearly stood out from the others. In the years since, Tammy has 'dressed out' at least twenty boats for me. She has yet to meet a challenge for which she could not find a creative and effective solution. Tammy has become a valuable resource to my Boatbutler business, and she has actually created sort of a "cult" following among my customers. Once they see the quality of her work, the choice is an easy one. I am still grateful for that little tag on that sailboat cover I found nearly twenty years ago." Alpharetta, Georgia
