Tender boats are small, trailerable vessels frequently used for time-honored endeavors such as tender for larger boats and day cruising. They have a rich legacy as vessels that are sought-after due to their moderate draft and narrow beam, attributes that make these vessels exceptionally favorable for tender for larger boats and day cruising. The average number of people that can be accommodated onboard tender boats listed is 7 passengers, with a maximum capacity of 20 guests and crew. Models with more power can accommodate motors up to a whopping 2,294 horsepower, while more economic models may have as little as 8 horsepower engines on them (although the average power size is 130 HP). here

A tender is a boat that "tends to" a larger boat, transporting people and/or supplies to and from shore. Tenders are typically used for yachts that are too big to dock at a marina and must anchor offshore; however, larger recreational boats could also have a tender boat, usually referred to as a "dinghy". While most tenders today have at least one engine, there are many types of tender boats - from rowboats to high-end rigid inflatable boats (RIB).

Since tender boats are used for primarily one purpose - to transport people and supplies - they tend to be fairly basic and without a lot of bells and whistles. Seating and storage are the most important features of a tender and may be customized and upgraded, depending on the type of tender an owner has. The brand and number of engines can be customized based on the type of tender boat, as well. more

These hard workers log long days during peak season. Sixteen hour days are not uncommon, but even with a modest base wage, the overtime means you can make $1,200+ per week during peak season. During the peak seasons salmon canneries often operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Overtime pay is paid for any hours worked over eight hours in a day or 40 hours in a week. Overtime is paid at time and a half. So if your base pay is $12/hr. then you would be paid $18/hr. for your overtime hours. A sixteen hour work day at this pay rate would gross a worker $240 for the day. Most workers find the job to be cold, wet, and monotonous, but the paychecks tend to be fat. [links]
