Clear vinyl windows allow you to enjoy your boat in all kinds of weather. A series of windows can be made to form an enclosure that will not only keep your boat's occupants dry—it will help keep them warm as well. Marine-grade clear vinyl has been specially treated to resist the damaging effects of UV rays and is the recommended choice for boat windows. Items needed for sewing your own marine clear-vinyl windows are available at awning and boat-cover fabrication shops.
Start at a corner of the window and tuck the combined window edge/raw fabric edge into the fold of the folded binding. Run a stitch line along the inside edge of the binding, making sure to catch the window, fabric and both sides of the binding in the stitch line. more
Acrylic windows have hard surfaces and are very ridged. 10 to 15 years outdoors, sometimes people bring us 40 year old acrylic windows to replace. [links]
Working from your old damaged windshield or pencil drawing, even when it is on a napkin. If you don’t have either, you can bring us your boat or plane and we will make it from from scratch.
We will cut down your motorcycle windshield or make a new custom motorcycle windshield that is 2 inches bigger than your old one.
Polycarbonate windows have a softer surface than acrylic. Regular polycarbonate last 3 to 5 years outdoors.
Over the years we have made replacement windows for Russian Migs, submarines, wing tip light covers, vintage plane canopies, airplane gun turrets. Replacement car dashes and rear light or turn signal covers. We have made windows for solar cars, 500 dollar cars and for 15,000,000 dollar cars. Plus giant custom dome for show cars.

Have you ever found yourself wishing that your dodger or enclosure panels had another window? If you find yourself needing to bring a little extra visibility or light to your cockpit we have you covered! Follow our simple step-by-step video instructions for installing a clear vinyl window in an existing canvas or vinyl fabric panel.
We’ve found that the process demonstrated in the video is the best way to ensure that the canvas and vinyl take the same shape. To do this, we suggest sewing the vinyl down first, and then cutting the canvas out second. This provides a little leeway in cutting both materials—if you’re not exact, no problem!

Deciding which type of vinyl to use for your particular project can be daunting, but Sailrite ® is here to help. The gauge (thickness) of the window material is the primary determinant when it comes to the material’s recommended applications. For example, you want to choose thicker, 40-gauge clear vinyl for dodgers, biminis, windshields, automotive windows and convertible top windows. Thinner, 20-gauge vinyl is appropriate for sail windows, enclosures and some bimini applications. We also offer 12-gauge transparent vinyl that you can use for patterning or to make vinyl couch covers. here

This is high-performance material featuring a single, thicker polished sheet. You’ll also want to decide how transparent you’d like your material to be.
