Flipping it will be the cheapest solution for sure. Dont just go for a car way because it is cheaper. BUT when you come to sell most people will wonder why you have painted it and what you are trying to cover up.

Here is a great way to paint a jet skiThis is my 2008 Kawasaki SXR JetSki A few months ago I designed a custom paint job for it. The main steps involve prepping the surface measuring cutting the material to size and then applying the vinyl wrap. Make sure your ceiling or beams can support the weight if you use a suspended strap system. more

262015 Nope Ive never repainted a jet ski at all nor have I cleaned and waxed rubbed or buffed one. Fiberglass is a durable and strong material but as anyone whos repaired it before will understand it does require a bit of finesse when it comes to buffing out scratches. Just plenty of touchups on boats and other household applications such as fiberglass shovel handles etc if its white and receives abuse including appliance color changes from white to almond or vice-versa. here

about paint
When it comes to paint you get what you pay for.Good paint cost money.to paint a jetski you will need about one quart.A quart ranges from $10.00 to $1000.00 depending on the supplier and color and effect your going for.A good paint that will last will cost about $300.00 for all the chemicals you would need for a one color paint job.this will very from state to state. here

You will need a few things to get ready to begin prepping your jetski.

ok clean the ski with wax and grease remover, use two towels one wet and one dry.
keep the ski wet until you use the dry towel to remove any trash form surface.
then tac the ski off after you mix your paint (base) when you start to spray your paint just lay down a tac coat(dust the ski lightly over the whole surface with paint)then let it tac up (10 to 15 min)and then hit it with your second coat, you can cover the ski with this coat, but too heavy.wait a few mins and let it tac up before you hit it again.then put on the last coat.you should have enough paint to get three coats.then after it dries you can tac and spray your clear coat the same way.light coat to dust for a tac coat then heavier coat. if you have chips or scrapes ,use 80 grit sandpaper and rouge up the area around the spot to be repaired.fill with fiberglass filler and sand smooth with 120 or 180 grit sandpaper.then you want to prime and sand with 180 grit and seal with sealer or primer sealer, follow direction for product being used.most products have a window of use before you have to scuff or sand surface before next coat. more

Use a black spray can and spray the ski at a distance. Then, when you sand it down it is easier to see where you have sanded and where you haven’t. Sand the entire jetski with 80 grit and then 400 grit wet sandpaper. [links]

The biggest challenge here is removing the glue behind the stickers. There is a product called Xylene, which is a serious chemical so use rubber gloves. Wipe it over the glue a few times and then use a squeegee. The glue should come right off. The Xylene won’t damage the existing paint, so if you’re just removing stickers and not repainting then this is still a handy trick!

Paint the entire ski with your base color. If your base color is white, it is good to use Intercoat Clear to cover the white before doing any detailed work (the same can be said for most other light or bright colors also). This means that if you make any mistakes, you can generally wet sand them out without affecting your base color. [links]

You will also need to locate, rent or create a mount to hold up the jet ski while you are painting it. It is not ideal to paint your jet ski while it is on its trailer, as the paint job could stray and accidentally paint the trailer itself. You will want the jet ski off of the ground and in a stable position while you are working around it to paint everything you need to. You will want to make sure that this mount is acceptable for possibly receiving extra paint that may be a result of the paint job. more

If you are replacing your mats, you will want to remove them as well. Mats are relatively cheap, so you may want to change the color or look. here

Let your jet ski sit for as long as is specified for the specific paint that you used. While some paint may be ready to go in just a few days, other paints may require a longer time to cure. Read and follow the directions that were given to you by the paint company that you bought through. The longer you wait the longer you can ensure that the paint job will hold and not scratch or peel any time soon! [links]

Remove any decals or graphics that may have been installed on your jet ski. You will need to repurchase numbers for your license as you will need to remove them. Use goo gone or another substance to remove any residue from the stickers. Removed graphics and washed here
