By the time you figure in the cost of new lugs, your time and effort to replace, you would be further ahead spending the $35 to replace the entire hub. here

If your wheels were that loose, you may have damaged the wheel lug holes. If they are damaged, you will never reach needed torque.
I will revisit the wheel with a torque wrench each month for the next couple months just to make sure the studs are seated properly
Two of the 5 wheel studs had some dinged threads that made nuts hang up. 1020486

Then we are going to take two regular lug nuts, you can use these off of the existing studs if you want and we will run these two together. Hold one nut in place and then draw the other nut onto it. Lock the two together and it will just run the two nuts together and kind of jam them and then we will take the assembly and we will just thread it in. There is a little ring in the middle of it and run that down until the ring seats into the hub. You want to tighten it down as you would any other wheel bolt or lug nut and once you have it ran down we will simply back off this nut. We have got our wheel stud repaired and we can put the wheel back on. Then we are going to top it off with a new chrome lug nut and that is going to be part number 12CLN. That is it, that will finish our installation of our wheel stud part number 25-53 on This Boat Trailer. here
