Use a pencil torch to melt the paint very briefly - just enough to see it go runny. Wipe off with a cotton cloth. It will leave a milky residue which can be easily polished off with 'extra' cut car polish. Use a scraper with a 45deg edge made of plexiglass to scrape smaller residual patches. more

I bought older house with paint on door plex windows and did not want to spend a lot on repairs. Nail polish remover worked wonders. Window cleaner after. No scrubbing no scratch. [links]

i have the same issue. alcohol didn't work, neither did mineral spirits. acetone sorta worked. but it left a smeared mess. so i'm hesitant to try non-acetone nail polish. i have an entire screen door that's painted that i need to remove paint from. i tried one patch & it's just a mess now. scraping won't work- it will just be scratches all over. i don't see a magic eraser doing a thing to remove it, much less vaseline. here

Do not dwell on the heating! - as soon as you see the melted paint on the surface just wipe it off. Absolutely no damage to the plexiglass, clear as a bell.

Generally, a paint remover releases strong fumes which can have an adverse effect on your health. Hence, you should work in a well-ventilated or an outdoor place.

Purchase a good quality paint remover. Don’t try to save money by buying a cheaper remover as it might not be effective and you may end up scratching your glass. Also, in case you already don’t have a glass cleaner, purchase the same.

The biggest concern in removing spilled over paint from plexiglass is that it might get scratched. If the paint has dried up, this concern becomes even more serious. However, you can avoid scratches by using a paint remover, also known as paint stripper. It is a chemical compound which breaks down the paint so that it can be easily scraped away. Even with the use of paint remover, the task is not easy and requires you to be very careful. Follow the 12 steps described below, carefully, to remove the paint from plexiglass without scratching it.

In case, some amount of paint still seems to be holding on the surface, do not attempt to remove it forcefully. You’ll end up damaging the Plexi glass. It’s safer to get the remover reapplied and wait for an additional 20 minutes. here

Make use of the dampened cloth to saturate the entire paint affected surface. This will help strip away any wet acrylic paint, besides helping to loosen the dried bits.

Put some newspapers all over your work area. If you are treating a glass door, ensure to slip a paper underneath before you begin. Paint stripper is a strong chemical formulation that can damage your floor finish. So, make absolutely sure to clean immediately with a cloth should you happen to drop it accidentally.

Many painters and DIYers use spray paints because they are very easy to use, and you can make colorful mosaics and beautiful graffiti on your walls. But as they make work a lot easier, there are a lot more complications. Sometimes because of lack of attention, you paint the areas which you did not want to. In this situation, you would rather like to remove the paint from that area, but it is not as easy as it sounds. more
