7. After you have removed the cover, lay the small mirror to the left of the pump. angle it so you can see into the pump. Towards the rear of the pump where the cover was removed, you will see that the hole in the pump case tapers to a point. Looking in this area you can see a hole deep in there. Behind this hole you should see the allen screw appear as you turn the crank. Look close because it is hard to see. If you don't see it, you will have to turn the crank some more. here

5. Lean over the front of the truck. In this position you will see a little plate on the left side of the pump way down low. Remove the cover. here
Use to loosen or tighten injection pump retaining bolts whenever pump timing adjustment or pump service is required. Services 1996-1999 GM full-size 2- and 4-wheel drive trucks, vans, and Suburban's with 6.5L diesel engine. Two specially bent wrenches are needed, due to the location of the throttle, cruise control, T.V. cable bracket, cooling system crossover pipe and bracket, and the thermostat housing on vans and pickups. Wrenches are 15 mm, 12-point, double box-end type. [links]
